Tasting Notes
The 2015 vintage is powerful yet finely detailed, offering cassis, blackberry compote, dried flowers, earth, baking spices and a subtle hint of bay leaf. The palate is layered with blueberry, cherry, dark chocolate and warm spice, supported by lively acidity and firm but polished tannins. It is already compelling, though its seamless structure gives it excellent long-term ageing potential. The 2016 shows remarkable depth and energy, with aromas of blueberry, black cherry, violet, woodland and wild herbs. Dense yet vibrant on the palate, it reveals dark fruit, graphite, spice and a finely powdered tannin texture, finishing with impressive persistence. The 2017 completes the collection with an intense and aromatic expression of black forest fruit, cherry tart, violet, cardamom, clove, liquorice, cassis, earth and mineral notes reminiscent of iron and river stones. Full-bodied and richly textured, it combines dark chocolate and blackcurrant flavours with fresh acidity and firm, polished tannins. All three wines are built for extended cellaring, with the 2015 and 2016 particularly suited to further development over the coming decades.

Production
The wines come from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, Napa Valley, a site known for its deep, well-drained alluvial soils, gravelly structure and excellent exposure. The vines produce naturally small, concentrated berries, while meticulous vineyard management and careful selection help preserve both intensity and balance. Each vintage reflects its growing season: 2015 was warm, dry and early, 2016 delivered exceptional balance and concentration, while 2017 combined heat with challenging conditions yet produced a remarkably deep and structured wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted to express the vineyard’s character through precise winemaking and maturation designed to complement its fruit, tannins and mineral profile.

Food & Serving
These powerful Napa Valley Cabernets are ideal with richly flavoured dishes such as prime rib, grilled or roasted beef, venison, lamb, slow-cooked short ribs and hearty mushroom preparations. Mature hard cheeses, including aged cheddar or Comté, are also excellent partners. Serve at approximately 16–18°C. The younger 2016 and 2017 vintages will benefit from decanting for 1–2 hours, while the 2015 can also be decanted carefully before serving, particularly if enjoyed now.
