Claus Preisinger’s DOPE Bio 2024 is a lively Blaufränkisch rosé from the Leithaberg, made for freshness and easy enjoyment. Its unfiltered bottling and gentle, naturally developed spritz give it a distinctive, playful character.
Tasting Notes
The nose is marked by tart rhubarb and red gooseberry, with a subtle smoky note. On the palate, vivid freshness and juicy red summer-fruit flavours meet a little texture, followed by hints of bitter orange and hibiscus. A delicate fizz adds lift. Its bright, youthful style is best enjoyed while fresh; no specific ageing guidance is available.
Production
The Blaufränkisch comes from the renowned Leithaberg site and is pressed directly as whole bunches. The wine is bottled unfiltered with a small amount of residual sweetness, allowing a gentle spritz to develop naturally in the bottle; it is sealed with a crown cap.
