Tasting Notes
In the glass, Château Suduiraut Sauternes shows a luminous golden hue that hints at both concentration and elegance. The bouquet is layered and inviting, with aromas of honey, apricot, candied citrus, white flowers, saffron, and subtle spice, all lifted by a refined freshness. On the palate, it is sumptuous yet well balanced, delivering notes of ripe stone fruit, marmalade, tropical nuances, and sweet almond, framed by bright acidity that keeps the wine lively. The finish is long and polished, with excellent potential to develop further complexity over many years of cellaring.

Production
Sourced from the famed Sauternes terroir in Bordeaux, the wine benefits from the region’s unique misty mornings and sunny afternoons, which encourage the development of noble rot, or Botrytis cinerea. This natural concentration process is key to the wine’s depth and sweetness. Harvesting is done by hand in successive selective passes through the vineyard, ensuring only perfectly botrytized grapes are picked, before careful vinification designed to preserve aromatic purity and texture.

Food & Serving
This wine is a classic match for foie gras, blue cheese, fruit tarts, crème brûlée, and desserts featuring apricot, peach, or citrus. It can also be enjoyed beautifully on its own as a contemplative glass. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a brief airing can help if the wine is particularly young.
