Description

Château Montifaud Pineau Blanc Jeune is a fresh, expressive white Pineau des Charentes from one of Cognac’s most respected family estates. Crafted with the elegance and balance the Montifaud name is known for, it offers a bright introduction to this traditional fortified style, which has long been enjoyed in western France as an aperitif and celebratory drink.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass, it shows a clean, youthful brightness that hints at its freshness. The nose opens with delicate notes of white flowers, citrus, pear, and ripe grape, followed by a soft touch of honeyed sweetness and subtle freshness. On the palate, it is smooth and lively, with a rounded texture balanced by crisp fruit and gentle acidity. The finish is supple and easy-drinking, making it especially appealing when served young. While this style is meant to be enjoyed fresh, it will hold well for a short period under proper storage, though its charm lies in its youthful vibrancy.

Production
Produced in the Cognac region of southwest France, Pineau Blanc Jeune is made in the traditional Pineau des Charentes style, combining grape must with cognac eau-de-vie. The result is a fortified wine that preserves the aromatic character of the fruit while adding depth and roundness. Château Montifaud works with the same family-driven care and attention to terroir that defines its broader production, focusing on quality and balance in every step of vinification.

Food & Serving
Best served well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, it makes an excellent aperitif and pairs naturally with foie gras, blue cheese, melon, fruit tarts, or lightly sweet desserts. No decanting is necessary; simply chill and serve to enjoy its fresh, fruity profile at its best.

Producer
Château Montifaud is a long-established family estate in the Cognac region, known for its dedication to craftsmanship across both cognac and Pineau des Charentes. Family-owned for generations, the house has built a strong reputation for producing refined, characterful spirits and fortified wines that reflect the heritage of the region. Its commitment to traditional methods and consistent quality has made it a respected name in western France and beyond.
