Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 16–18°C after allowing the wine to come gently to temperature. It should pair beautifully with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck, game birds and richly flavoured mushroom dishes. Decanting for around 30–60 minutes is recommended when serving the wine young; mature bottles may benefit from careful decanting primarily to remove sediment.

Château Haut-Brion is one of Bordeaux’s most historic and prestigious estates and the only First Growth located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Its vineyards have been celebrated for centuries, and the château was included among Bordeaux’s five Premier Cru Classé estates in the 1855 Classification. Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is the property’s second wine, crafted from younger or less-selected lots while retaining the estate’s hallmark finesse, balance and distinctive gravel-soil character.
