Description

Château Figeac 2016 is a distinctive Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, known for a Cabernet-led character that sets it apart from many Right Bank wines. The vintage brings together structure, freshness and elegance in a wine with both immediate complexity and the capacity to develop with time.

Tasting Notes
Deep and expressive, it opens with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum, layered with cedar, graphite, herbs and floral notes. The palate is precise and poised, with firm structure, fresh fruit and a long, harmonious finish. Its balance and structure make it a strong candidate for further cellaring; with time, its fruit and savoury nuances should continue to evolve.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It pairs well with roast lamb, beef, venison and other richly flavoured dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Decant for about one to two hours before serving to allow the wine to open.
