Description

Château de la Négly’s 2024 La Falaise is an elegant La Clape red made from Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre. Its polished style combines dark-fruit intensity with fragrant garrigue and floral notes, while finely integrated tannins and fresh acidity bring balance.

Tasting Notes
Deep purple in colour, it opens with aromas of blackberry, darker raspberry, peppery garrigue, violet and spring flowers. The fragrant, slightly Côte-Rôtie-like character leads into a medium-bodied palate with pure, nuanced fruit, fine tannins and lively acidity. A focused, beautifully made wine that should gain from around a year of bottle age. It is expected to drink well from 2026 to 2038.

Food & Serving
Pair with herb-roasted lamb, grilled beef or slow-cooked dishes featuring Mediterranean herbs. Serve slightly cool, around 16–18°C; a short decant can help open its aromatic profile, particularly when drinking it young.
