Tasting Notes
Golden in the glass, it opens with pear, apple and floral aromas. Honey, orange peel and apricot preserve follow, with a delicate hint of smoke. The palate brings together gentle sweetness and an airy, refined feel, making it an appealing bridge between dessert wine and white wine.

Production
In Sauternes, the conditions that encourage botrytis—often called noble rot—are essential to the concentrated character of the region’s sweet wines. Château d’Arche passes through its vineyards at least three times, and sometimes as many as five, to pick grapes only when they are suitably affected. The estate is especially selective, producing an average of around 2,000 bottles per hectare, below the appellation’s stated maximum of 3,333. Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with foie gras terrine or Roquefort and a crisp rye biscuit. It is also lovely on its own as an after-dinner glass. Decanting is not essential; open shortly before serving to let its aromas emerge.
