Description

Château Angélus 2016 is a powerful, complex Saint-Émilion, combining concentrated dark fruit with freshness and precision. From one of the appellation’s best-known estates, it offers immediate depth and the structure for extended cellaring.

Tasting Notes
The wine is described by notes of dark cherry, blackberry and plum, lifted by violet and layered with mocha, tobacco and spice. Subtle, well-integrated oak complements its dense, full-bodied structure, while freshness keeps the palate balanced and focused. Enjoyable for its depth now, the 2016 also has a long ageing horizon, allowing its flavours and structure to evolve with further time in bottle.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It pairs well with roast lamb, beef, game and other rich, savoury dishes. Decant for about 1–2 hours before serving to give the wine time to open.
