Description

Champagne Gosset Grande Réserve Brut is a benchmark cuvée from the oldest wine house in Champagne, offering remarkable depth, finesse, and freshness. Bottled in Gosset’s distinctive antique-style flask, it combines the elegance of Chardonnay with the structure of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, creating a Champagne of real character and history.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, refined appearance with a lively mousse and persistent bubbles. The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of red raspberries, citrus, and green apple, lifted by subtle mineral notes and a hint of dried fruit. On the palate, the wine is both generous and precise, with a fine mousse, crisp freshness, and a layered profile that balances ripe fruit, saline minerality, and a long, elegant finish. Thanks to its structure and complexity, it has excellent aging potential for a non-vintage Champagne and will continue to develop nuance over time.

Production
Grande Réserve Brut is blended from 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier, with a strong proportion of black grapes giving the wine depth and complexity. Gosset avoids malolactic fermentation to preserve brightness and tension, and the cuvée is aged for up to three years in the house cellars before release. The dosage is 8 g/l, helping to maintain a dry, balanced style while keeping the wine approachable and harmonious.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is excellent on its own, but it also pairs beautifully with lightly spiced dishes, seafood, shellfish, and refined canapés. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and enjoy to appreciate its freshness and fine mousse.

Producer
Champagne Gosset is the oldest established wine house in Champagne, with a history dating back to the 16th century. Based in Aÿ, the house is known for its traditional, precise style and for producing Champagnes with purity, structure, and a distinctive mineral edge. Gosset is widely respected as one of the great names in the region and has built a strong reputation for elegant, long-lived cuvées.
