Why shop with us?
Champagne Gosset Extra Brut is a poised, finely etched Champagne from the oldest house in Champagne, created for drinkers who appreciate purity, tension, and elegance over sweetness. With just 5 g/L dosage and a carefully judged blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it delivers a precise, balanced style that showcases Gosset’s long-standing expertise in classical Champagne making.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a refined, bright appearance with very fine bubbles and a lively mousse. The nose opens beautifully with white flowers, green pear, and citrus, followed by a more layered expression of ripe fruit, stone fruit, and subtle brioche notes from extended cellar ageing.
On the palate, it is elegant and focused, with citrus and orchard fruit at the core, supported by a delicate briochy character and a long, graceful finish. The Extra Brut style keeps the wine taut and clear, while the mature fruit profile adds depth. It has excellent immediate appeal and the structure to develop further complexity over the next few years.
Production
This Champagne is built from grapes sourced from more than 10 villages across the region, a broad base that helps achieve balance, freshness, and complexity. The blend is composed of 45% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay, and 23% Pinot Meunier, with low dosage to preserve a crisp, expressive style. After blending, the wine spends 3 years aging on the lees in the cellar, then rests for at least 6 months after disgorgement before release.
Food & Serving
An excellent aperitif Champagne, it also pairs beautifully with light dishes such as poultry, veal, delicate seafood, sushi, or mildly creamy starters. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to best highlight its freshness and finesse. Decanting is not recommended; simply open and enjoy its clarity and precision.
