Champagne Agrapart et Fils 7 Crus is a benchmark grower Champagne that captures the precision, energy, and terroir-driven style for which Agrapart has become a cult name among wine lovers. Built primarily on Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, with Pinot Noir adding shape and depth, it is a beautifully expressive non-vintage Champagne with real character and pedigree.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, 7 Crus shows a fine, persistent mousse and a bright, elegant profile. The nose is lifted and inviting, with notes of citrus, green apple, white flowers, brioche, and a subtle hint of toasted almonds.
On the palate, it is taut, chalky, and intensely mineral, with lively acidity and impressive concentration. The finish is long, clean, and distinctly saline-kalked, suggesting both refinement and structure. While delicious now, it also has the balance and substance to develop gracefully over the next few years.
Production
7 Crus is sourced from seven different villages, bringing together fruit from carefully selected parcels in Champagne, with a strong core of Chardonnay from Agrapart’s holdings in the Côte des Blancs. The diversity of crus contributes complexity, depth, and a precise balance between freshness and ripe fruit. Winemaking is carried out with great respect for the raw material, and a portion of the wine is matured in oak barrels to add texture without masking the wine’s elegance.
Food & Serving
This Champagne is a superb aperitif and pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi, and refined fish dishes. Serve well chilled at around 8-10°C, and while decanting is not necessary, a short rest in the glass can help the wine open up and reveal more of its layered character.
Producer
Champagne Agrapart et Fils is one of Champagne’s most respected grower-producers, with a reputation built on meticulous vineyard work, low-intervention winemaking, and a deep commitment to terroir expression. Based in Avize, the estate has become a reference point for serious Champagne enthusiasts and sommeliers, and its wines are widely admired for their purity, precision, and authenticity.
