Tasting Notes
This Malbec typically shows a deep, vivid ruby-purple color. The nose is expressive and layered, with ripe blackberry, plum, violet, and subtle spice, all framed by the lifted freshness that high-altitude Mendoza sites are known for. On the palate, it is concentrated yet poised, with natural balance, fine tannins, and a clear varietal core. The finish is long and polished, making it enjoyable on release while also giving it strong aging potential of 10 to 20 years for those who prefer a more evolved expression.

The wine is sourced from Catena’s carefully selected high mountain estate vineyards in Mendoza, where elevation, strong sunlight, cool nights, and well-drained soils create ideal conditions for Malbec. These vineyards are the result of decades of study and exploration by the Catena family, who identified distinctive parcels across Mendoza’s mountain terroirs. The grapes are harvested from historic estate sites and brought together to form a blend that emphasizes balance, concentration, and varietal identity. Food & Serving
