Castello Bonomi Franciacorta Rosè Brut 2022

Castello Bonomi Franciacorta Rosè Brut is an elegant vintage rosé from one of Franciacorta’s historic names, made entirely from Pinot Noir grown on the slopes of Monte Orfano. Organic farming and a precise traditional-method approach give the wine its refined style, expressive fruit, and beautifully persistent finish.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate rosé hue with fine, lively bubbles. The nose is immediately inviting, with aromas of wild strawberries, rose petals, and toasted bread, creating a layered and graceful bouquet. On the palate, it is broad, persistent, and vibrant, with a pleasant tension from the mousse that adds structure and energy. The finish is clean and fresh, with enough depth to suggest very good short- to medium-term aging potential while remaining delicious in its youthful phase.

Production
This Franciacorta comes from Pinot Noir vines cultivated on the Monte Orfano slopes in Lombardy, an area known for its distinctive mineral character and favorable exposure. The grapes are gently pressed, then undergo cold maceration to enhance color and aromatic intensity, followed by fermentation at around 14°C. The base wine is aged for approximately six months in stainless steel under controlled temperature to preserve freshness and purity.

Food & Serving
Ideal with seafood appetizers, sushi, cured salmon, light pasta dishes, and fine charcuterie, as well as soft cheeses and summer salads. Serve well chilled at 6–8°C; decanting is not recommended, as it is best enjoyed for its freshness and fine mousse.
