Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Brunello shows a deep ruby colour with the beginnings of garnet at the rim. The nose is elegantly layered, opening with dried rose, lavender and blood orange before revealing black cherry, wild berries and subtle spice. The palate is remarkably juicy and refined, with concentrated ripe fruit carried by vibrant acidity and firm, polished tannins. Notes of citrus, clove and liquorice emerge on the long, intense finish. With its structure, freshness and depth, the 2021 vintage has excellent ageing potential and should develop beautifully over the next 10–15 years, or longer under ideal cellaring conditions.

Production
Made in Montalcino from Sangiovese, the grape known locally as Brunello, this wine reflects the area’s combination of warm Mediterranean light, elevation and diverse soils. The 2021 growing season produced fruit with both concentration and freshness. Brunello di Montalcino is traditionally made through a careful, extended maturation process in accordance with DOCG regulations, allowing the wine’s floral character, savoury complexity and firm structure to integrate over time. Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C after allowing the bottle to come gently up to temperature. Decant for 1–2 hours when drinking young to soften the tannins and open the wine’s aromatic layers; older bottles should be decanted carefully, primarily to remove sediment. Its structure and savoury depth make it an excellent match for bistecca alla Fiorentina, roasted lamb, wild boar ragù, truffle dishes, aged Pecorino Toscano and other richly flavoured Tuscan cuisine.
