Production
Carruades de Lafite comes from vineyards in Pauillac, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravelly soils promote excellent drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon ripen with precision and freshness. The estate’s parcels are selected and blended with a focus on capturing the Lafite signature while making the wine earlier-drinking than the grand vin. Vinification is carried out with the same high standards as the first wine, including careful harvesting, parcel-by-parcel selection, and élevage in oak barrels to preserve finesse and complexity.
