Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is a classic Islay single malt Scotch whisky, known for its gentler, more maritime style rather than the island’s intensely smoky character. It combines subtle coastal notes with rich fruit, nuts and soft spice, making it an approachable yet distinctive expression from one of Islay’s most celebrated distilleries.

Aroma & Palate
The nose opens with fresh sea air, toasted nuts, vanilla and hints of dried fruit, followed by a delicate touch of smoke. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, with flavours of raisins, baked apples, creamy vanilla, toasted almonds and gentle spice. A light coastal salinity carries through to the finish, which is pleasantly long with lingering fruit, oak and a restrained wisp of smoke.

Distillation & Maturation
This single malt is distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery from malted barley and matured for 12 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The whisky is known for its relatively light peat influence, allowing the natural fruit and maritime character to take centre stage. It is presented with its natural colour and is non-chill filtered.

Enjoy Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old neat at room temperature, with a few drops of water to open up its aromas and texture, or over a single large ice cube. Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 on the northeast coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Its remote coastal setting and access to pure spring water help shape the whisky’s distinctive maritime character. In contrast to many Islay malts, Bunnahabhain traditionally focuses on lightly peated and unpeated whiskies, offering a softer, more fruit-driven interpretation of the island’s style.
