Brancaia Tre 2024

Brancaia Tre 2024 is a stylish Tuscan red that brings together the character of three grapes — Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon — from three different Brancaia vineyards in Maremma, Castellina and Radda in Chianti. With its balance of freshness, structure and immediate drinkability, it is one of those wines that feels both approachable and distinctly regional.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, the wine shows an inviting, polished profile with bright red berry fruit at the center. Aromas lean toward ripe cherries, red currants and subtle herbal notes, with Merlot adding softness and Cabernet Sauvignon bringing a touch of spice and backbone. On the palate, TRE is medium-bodied, smooth and well-structured, with Sangiovese giving lift and freshness while the other two grapes round out the texture. It finishes juicy and elegant, with enough grip to age well for a few years, though it is already very enjoyable now.

Production
TRE is made from a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from Brancaia’s vineyards in Maremma, Castellina and Radda in Chianti. The wine reflects a classic Tuscan terroir with a modern, polished touch, and is matured for 12 months before bottling. Two-thirds of the ageing takes place in French tonneaux, while the remaining third is aged in cement to preserve freshness and purity of fruit.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that works beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from pasta with tomato-based sauces and grilled meats to roast chicken, pizza and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and while decanting is not essential, a short aeration can help open up the aromas.
