Description

Bollinger La Grande Année 2008 is a celebrated vintage Champagne, pairing the year’s cool precision with the house’s signature depth, structure and oak influence. Widely regarded as one of Champagne’s strongest vintages since 1996, it is already compelling but has plenty of potential to develop further. Delivered in its original gift box.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in colour, it opens with vivid aromas of citrus and white flowers, followed by brioche, toasted almonds and chalky mineral notes. With time in the glass, layers of honey, nuts and subtle oxidative character emerge.

Production
The cool 2008 vintage brings freshness and precision, while chalky Champagne soils are reflected in the wine’s mineral finish. In Bollinger’s traditional style, the wine is fermented in small oak barrels and aged for an extended period on its lees, building depth and complexity.
