Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, dark ruby-red color that hints at its concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with blackberry, blueberry, mushrooms, bouillon, tobacco, flint, and dark chocolate. On the palate, lush dark fruit and ripe strawberries lead the way, lifted by notes of lavender, clove, cinnamon, and a subtle saline edge. The wine finishes silky and beautifully balanced, with a seamless texture that brings all the elements together in harmony. While already impressive in its youth, it has the structure and depth to develop gracefully over the coming years.

Le Pré du Col comes from Ribbon Ridge, one of Oregon’s most prestigious Pinot Noir appellations, where ancient seabed soils give the vineyard its notably sandy profile. This unique terroir promotes finesse, drainage, and precision in the finished wine, helping shape its elegant yet deeply flavored character. The grapes are harvested with care and vinified to preserve purity, site expression, and the wine’s naturally polished texture.
