With fruit sourced from old vines planted in the early 1970s and an exceptionally restrained 13% alcohol, it captures the refined, historical character that has made Maresh Vineyard one of the region’s most respected sites.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a bright, graceful profile in the glass, with aromas of strawberry jam, rhubarb, cranberry sauce, warm earth, black licorice, and exotic spices. It feels vivid and lifted on the nose, with plenty of perfume and a distinctly cool-climate Oregon sensibility. On the palate, sun-ripened red cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb jam are layered with dried violets, licorice, and spice, giving the wine both brightness and depth. The finish is long and worth lingering over, suggesting very good aging potential and the ability to gain further complexity over the next several years.

The fruit comes from Maresh Vineyard, where the vines were planted in the early 1970s, giving the wine the concentration and character that only mature vineyards can provide. The 2021 vintage delivered limited yields but excellent quality, resulting in fruit with impressive purity and balance.
