Tasting Notes
Deep, concentrated ruby in the glass, it opens with an expressive bouquet of cassis, blackberry, and ripe plum, layered with violet, cedar, spice, and subtle toasted oak. With air, darker accents of graphite, tobacco, and fine chocolate emerge, adding depth and complexity. The palate is dense yet supple, with ripe, silky tannins and a balanced line of freshness that keeps the wine poised. The finish is long and nuanced, carrying dark fruit, mineral tones, and gentle oak spice. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and should continue to evolve beautifully over the coming 10–20 years.

Production
The vineyards sit on gravelly terraces with clay and limestone influences, a terroir that lends both structure and refinement to the wine. Grapes are selectively hand-harvested and vinified by parcel to preserve the character of each block, before the final blend is assembled from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a touch of Petit Verdot. The wine is then matured for 18–20 months in French oak barrels, with a high proportion of new oak contributing to its polished, contemporary profile.

Food & Serving
Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking now, especially to allow the wine’s aromatic complexity and tannins to fully open up. It pairs beautifully with roast or grilled beef, lamb saddle, venison, and other rich game dishes, as well as mature hard cheeses.
