Production
The grapes for Zorah Heritage Sireni 2019 come from the Artsakh area, where the Sireni variety thrives in a mild yet distinctly continental climate with significant diurnal temperature shifts. High-altitude vineyards, stony, well-drained soils, and a largely untouched natural environment give the wines both intensity and freshness. The Sireni grape, a medium-ripening red variety, is traditionally grown here and harvested by hand at optimal maturity to preserve balance and aromatic precision. In keeping with Zorah’s philosophy, vinification focuses on minimal intervention: gentle handling of the fruit, temperature-controlled fermentation, and maturation in vessels that respect the character of the grape and terroir—often a mix of neutral containers (including traditional vessels) that avoid overt oak influence and let the native varieties speak clearly in the glass.
