Production
Made in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, Yquem’s vineyards benefit from a unique terroir of gravel, clay, and limestone soils, together with the cooling influence of morning mists from the nearby Ciron River. These conditions encourage noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), which concentrates the grapes and gives the wine its depth and complexity. Harvesting is done by hand in multiple passes, selecting only perfectly botrytized berries, and vinification is carried out with meticulous care to preserve purity, balance, and aromatic intensity.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. This wine pairs beautifully with foie gras, blue cheeses, fruit tarts, almond-based desserts, or even spicy Asian cuisine, where its sweetness and acidity can create a striking contrast. Decanting is generally not necessary, but allowing the wine a little time in the glass can help its aromas open fully.
