Tasting Notes
In the glass, The Hive shows a warm amber-gold colour, hinting at its sherry-cask influence. The nose is generous and inviting, with notes of honey, soft orchard fruit, vanilla and gentle spice, all wrapped in a smooth, malty character. On the palate, it is rounded and approachable, with layers of honeycomb, dried fruit, toffee and subtle oak spice. The sherry cask maturation adds richness without overpowering the spirit, giving it a supple, refined finish. It has excellent immediate drinkability, while still offering enough complexity to reward slow sipping.

The Hive is built from a blend of 16 malt whiskies selected to reflect the elegant, fruit-forward style associated with Speyside. It is aged for 12 years in casks that previously held sherry, which contributes both sweetness and structure, while adding dried-fruit complexity and a soft, polished texture.

Food & Serving
This whisky pairs well with nutty desserts, milk chocolate, fruit tart or hard cheeses such as mature cheddar or manchego. Serve it neat or with a splash of water at room temperature to open up the aromas; decanting is not necessary.
