Description

The Hive is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Wemyss Malts, made from a selection of 16 malt whiskies with a Speyside-inspired profile. Its 12 years of maturation in casks previously used for sherry give it a polished character and a rich, honeyed style.

Aroma & Palate
The nose is warmly honeyed, with sweet malt, soft floral notes and a touch of fruit. On the palate, honey and gentle spice lead into dried-fruit and oak notes, with a smooth, rounded texture and a lingering, gently sweet finish.

Distillation & Maturation
The blend brings together 16 malt whiskies, with a style centred on Speyside. It is matured for 12 years in casks previously used for sherry production.

Serving Suggestions
Enjoy it neat at room temperature to appreciate its layered sweetness, or add a few drops of water to open up the aromas. It also works well over a large ice cube or in a whisky cocktail where a mellow, honeyed malt character is welcome.
