Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Spätburgunder is likely to show a bright, translucent ruby hue. The nose opens with dark cherries, boysenberries, violets, and a subtle thread of spice and umami, giving it both fragrance and intrigue. The palate is silky and juicy, with a supple texture and Pinot Noir’s hallmark freshness keeping everything lively and precise. Production
The wine comes from Rheinhessen and is made from de-stemmed Pinot Noir grapes that undergo spontaneous fermentation over 3–4 weeks, with three punch-downs per day to encourage color and flavor extraction. It is then aged for 18 months in used French barriques, allowing the fruit to remain expressive while gaining texture and complexity.

Food & Serving
This is an easy match for roast chicken, duck breast, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or lightly spiced salmon. Serve it slightly cool, around 14–16°C, and consider a brief decant if opening it young to let the aromatics and texture fully unfold.
