The nose opens with dark, smoky accents reminiscent of smoked ham and grilled herbs, followed by layers of cassis, ripe black cherry and plum. Subtle notes of bitter chocolate, sweet tobacco, cedar and a touch of graphite emerge with air, underpinned by a fine, stony minerality. Here, sun‑drenched exposures and well‑draining, mineral‑rich soils give naturally ripe, concentrated grapes while preserving a fine, savory backbone. Yields are kept low and the fruit is harvested selectively, often by hand, to ensure optimal ripeness and healthy berries. In the cellar, the different varieties—Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and St. Laurent—are vinified with care, typically undergoing temperature‑controlled fermentation and extended maceration to extract color, aroma and refined tannin.
