Description

From the south-west-facing Lenchen vineyard in Germany’s Rheingau, this organic 2024 Riesling Kabinett combines concentrated yellow-fruit character with a fine, poised style. Its clay-rich loess soils, threaded with red quartzite, give it a little more body than the estate’s Hendelberg counterpart while preserving an elegant feel.

Tasting Notes
The bouquet offers a varied range of yellow-fruit aromas, including apple and pear, lifted by classic Riesling citrus. On the palate, the fruit feels concentrated and full, yet remains delicate and finely balanced rather than heavy.

Production
Lenchen extends towards the Pfingstbachtal, where early-morning dew and frost fog in autumn create conditions favourable for wines with noble sweetness. Its clay-rich loess, crossed by veins of red quartzite, contributes to a slightly fuller expression.
