Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Auslese shows remarkable purity and energy, with a refined golden hue that hints at its richness. The bouquet is intensely expressive, unfolding with passion fruit, mirabelle, crushed slate, white lilies, summer apples, and a fresh herbal lift of watercress. On the palate, it is expansive and layered, yet impeccably focused. A subtle sweetness is offset by razor-sharp acidity and a stony, saline mineral core, creating a wine that feels both sensual and precise. It has the structure and concentration to age gracefully for many years, developing even more complexity over time.

Production
Sourced from the celebrated Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard in the Mosel, the wine benefits from steep slate soils that store warmth during the day and help preserve freshness and aromatic detail. These conditions are ideal for Riesling, allowing the grapes to achieve ripeness while retaining the vibrant acidity that defines the region’s best wines. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration may help the wine open up fully in its youth.
