Description

Silvaner Attila is Weingut Heiligenblut’s finest Silvaner, made in a tiny 2021 release of just 833 bottles. It comes from the estate’s oldest vineyard, a single parcel on the Heiligen Blutberg where some vines are more than 70 years old.

Tasting Notes
The nose is restrained and finely detailed, with fresh green notes of hay, fennel and woodruff alongside Granny Smith apple. On the palate, floral tones and delicate yellow fruit meet playful acidity, followed by a silky, long finish with a lean mineral edge. No specific aging guidance is provided.

Production
The grapes come from a low-yielding single parcel on the Heiligen Blutberg, planted with some of the estate’s oldest vines. They were harvested by hand, spontaneously fermented and bottled without fining; only a minimal addition of sulphur was made shortly before bottling.

Food & Serving
Its fresh acidity and subtle herbal character should suit asparagus, herb-seasoned poultry, freshwater fish or delicate vegetable dishes. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C, to let its aromas show; decanting is not essential, though a little time in the glass can help it open.
