Weingut Emrich-Schönleber’s Riesling Halgans 2025 is an Ortswein made from fruit grown in the renowned Monzinger Halenberg vineyard, though that vineyard name cannot appear on the label. “Halgans” means “crane” in the local dialect and also hints at the wine’s more specific origin—a distinctive expression of one of the Nahe’s celebrated sites.

Tasting Notes
A tasting note for the 2025 vintage is not yet available. As a reference, the supplied note for the 2017 vintage described aromas of ripe yellow stone fruit, especially spiced vineyard peach, alongside a more pronounced smoky, dark and slightly iodine-like character. That older vintage was said to benefit from one to two years in bottle; this should not be taken as a tasting assessment or aging recommendation for the 2025.
