Wayfarer WF2 Chardonnay 2022 is a beautifully precise California Chardonnay that captures the cool, coastal character of West Sonoma with impressive freshness and texture. Made entirely from estate-grown fruit and produced in very limited quantities, it delivers the kind of consistent quality that makes it an easy bottle to reach for any night of the week. Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, polished profile with aromas of fresh-cut flowers, nectarine, vanilla cream, and a touch of ripe pineapple. The nose is lively and inviting, balancing lifted fruit with subtle oak influence and a distinctly coastal edge. On the palate, the wine is fresh and energetic, with citrus zest driving the flavors and a rich, creamy texture adding depth and shape. A clean, saline finish reflects its West Sonoma Coast origin, giving the wine impressive lift and an appealing sense of precision. While already expressive, it should also hold nicely over the next few years.

Production
WF2 Chardonnay 2022 is made from 100% estate fruit and reflects the cool terroir of the West Sonoma Coast, where maritime influence helps preserve freshness and natural acidity. The grapes are hand-harvested during the cool night hours and carefully sorted at the winery before being gently whole-cluster pressed. Fermentation takes place in 10% new French oak barrels, followed by 10 months of aging to build texture and complexity while preserving the wine’s vibrant core. Production is extremely limited at just 530 cases.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay pairs especially well with roasted chicken, lobster, crab, seared scallops, creamy pasta dishes, and grilled fish with citrus or herb-based sauces. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C, and there is no need to decant it unless you want to let it open slightly in the glass. A short period of aeration can help the fruit and oak notes become even more expressive.
