Wayfarer Pinot Noir The Estate 2022 is a beautifully focused, estate-grown Pinot Noir from one of California’s most distinctive coastal sites. Produced in very limited quantities, it combines purity of fruit, floral lift, and a refined spicy edge, reflecting the challenging windswept terroir of Wayfarer Vineyard and the careful handcraft behind it.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale ruby color, but the bouquet is far more expressive than its appearance suggests. Aromas of cherry, raspberry compote, and cranberry rise first, followed by exotic flowers, cinnamon, and a subtle black tea nuance. The palate is layered and elegant, with flavors of wild strawberry, red cherry, dried lavender, crushed stone, Asian spices, and a hint of white pepper on the finish. It already drinks beautifully now, yet has the structure and freshness to age gracefully for at least another 10 years.

Production
The grapes come from Wayfarer Vineyard, where the vines battle daily winds and a lean subsoil that forces the roots deep in search of nutrients, concentrating flavor and character. The fruit is hand-harvested, fully destemmed before pressing, and matured for 15 months in oak barrels, 45% of them new, adding texture and spice while preserving the wine’s bright, site-driven personality.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir works well with roasted duck, herb-crusted lamb, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or earthy dishes with truffle and wild mushrooms. Serve at around 15–16°C, and decanting is optional but can help open the wine if you plan to enjoy it young.
