Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a bright, polished profile with a refined, luminous feel. The nose is beautifully expressive, unfolding with notes of yellow pear, lemon, mandarin blossom, mirabelle plum, lemon thyme, yellow roses, and wet stone. The palate is both full and beautifully restrained, with vivid citrus energy, impressive depth, and a vivid mineral thread that carries the finish. It has a sense of “weightless power” — concentrated yet graceful — and should age very well over the coming years, gaining extra complexity and nuance with time.

Production
The grapes come from Freedom Hill Vineyard in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, a site known for producing Chardonnay with tension, purity, and mineral character. Fruit is harvested and sorted by hand, then the wine is matured in a combination of new and used French oak barrels to add texture and complexity without overshadowing the vineyard’s expression.

This Chardonnay is a natural match for roast chicken, lobster, seared scallops, turbot, creamy mushroom dishes, or rich vegetable preparations like cauliflower gratin. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and a short decant can be beneficial if you want to open up its aromatics and texture before serving.
