Roberto Voerzio’s Langhe Nebbiolo Disanfrancesco is a beautifully expressive red that brings the finesse and character of Nebbiolo into a more approachable, early-drinking style. Produced in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont, it combines precision, purity, and the family’s long-standing dedication to excellence in every bottle.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a clear ruby-red color with youthful brightness and elegant transparency. The nose is refined and lifted, with red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, and subtle spice, followed by hints of dried herbs, liquorice, and a touch of earthy complexity. On the palate, it is fresh and linear, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a mineral-driven core that gives the wine energy and length. The style is graceful rather than powerful, yet unmistakably Nebbiolo in its structure and detail. While enjoyable now, it should also develop nicely over the next 5 to 8 years, gaining additional depth and nuance.

Production
Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown in La Morra, the wine reflects the calcareous clay and marl-rich soils that help give Nebbiolo its aromatic precision and elegant tannin profile. The grapes are harvested with care and fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal purity. Aging takes place for 12 months in tonneaux, 30% new and 70% used, followed by 8 months in stainless steel and 25 hl casks, adding subtle texture and complexity without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that pairs especially well with risotto with mushrooms, roast chicken, veal, duck, and classic Piedmontese dishes such as agnolotti or tajarin with truffle. It also works beautifully with grilled pork, aged hard cheeses, and cured meats. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if drinking young to help the aromatics open up.
