Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet hue with the lighter rim characteristic of Nebbiolo. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, dried herbs, liquorice, and subtle earthy notes, alongside hints of spice and tar. On the palate, it is firm and elegant, with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long, savoury finish. The structure is built for development, and while it can be approached with patience in its youth, it should gain complexity and harmony with several years of cellaring.

Production
Serralunga d’Alba is known for its limestone-rich, compact marl and clay soils, which lend Barolo wines their distinctive backbone and intensity. The Nebbiolo grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then vinified with careful maceration and temperature control to preserve aromatics and structure. The wine is usually matured in oak to integrate tannins and refine its naturally firm profile.
