Vita Mediterranea Primitivo Salento IGT ØKO 2024 brings together the generous, sun-ripened character of southern Italy with a modern commitment to organic and vegan winemaking. Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby-red colour that hints at its ripe and expressive profile. The nose is inviting and full of blackberry, cherry, plum and warm spice, leading into a palate that is round, smooth and softly structured. Juicy dark fruit sits at the core, balanced by fresh acidity and silky tannins that give the wine both substance and easy drinkability. This is a wine best enjoyed for its youthful freshness and immediate appeal rather than long cellar ageing, though it should hold well for a few years after release if stored properly.

Production
The grapes come from the warm, sun-drenched terroir of Salento in Apulia, where Mediterranean conditions help Primitivo reach full ripeness while retaining enough freshness for balance. Vita Mediterranea works organically and with vegan principles, using gentle vinification in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the grape’s natural fruit, purity and aromatic clarity.

Food & Serving
A versatile food wine, this Primitivo pairs beautifully with pasta dishes, grilled meats, pizza and mature cheeses. Serve it slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C, and decanting is optional but can help open up the wine’s aromas if you want a bit more depth in the glass.
