Vietti Barolo Lazzarito is a powerful yet refined expression of one of Barolo’s most celebrated vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba. Made from 100% Nebbiolo, it combines the depth and structure expected of great Barolo with Vietti’s signature elegance and precision.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red color that hints at its concentration and class. The nose is intense and expressive, with aromas of figs and plums leading the way, supported by the layered complexity that Nebbiolo from Serralunga is known for. On the palate, the wine is extremely rounded and velvety in texture, with a robust structure balanced by smooth, sweet tannins. It finishes long and graceful, with the kind of depth that suggests excellent aging potential and further development over time.

Production
The grapes come from the prestigious Lazzarito vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, a site prized for its ability to produce structured, age-worthy Barolo. After pre-fermentation and 72 hours of cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place over 28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 4 months in barriques, followed by 32 months in Slavonian oak casks, allowing the wine to gain complexity while preserving its varietal character.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is an excellent match for richly flavored dishes such as braised beef, roast lamb, truffle risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours to let the aromas and texture fully open up.
