Description
Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label is the house’s signature non-vintage Champagne and a benchmark for full-bodied, elegant style. Built around a masterful blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, it combines structure, finesse, and a distinctive roundness that has made Veuve Clicquot one of Champagne’s most celebrated names.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a lively stream of fine bubbles, it immediately looks polished and inviting. The nose offers crisp orchard fruit, citrus, brioche, and subtle toasted notes, with a creamy, layered impression that reflects the use of reserve wines.
On the palate, Pinot Noir gives the wine its backbone and depth, while Chardonnay brings brightness and precision, and Pinot Meunier softens the finish with gentle fruitiness. It is fresh, balanced, and generously textured, with enough concentration to feel satisfying on its own. As a non-vintage Champagne, it is made for immediate enjoyment, though it will hold beautifully over the next few years.
Production
Sourced from Champagne, France, this cuvée reflects the quality of Veuve Clicquot’s vineyard holdings and the house’s long-standing blending expertise. The wine is composed of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 15% Pinot Meunier, with 25–40% reserve wines adding depth and consistency. It is finished with a dosage of 9 grams per liter, giving the Champagne a balanced, dry style with a touch of generosity.
Food & Serving
This Champagne is an excellent match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, fried appetizers, roast chicken, and creamy soft cheeses. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C, and there is no need to decant—simply open and enjoy to preserve its bright mousse and fresh aromatics.
