Tasting Notes
In the glass, Palazzi 2023 is expected to show a deep, vivid ruby color with excellent saturation. The nose typically leans toward ripe dark berries, plum, violets, and subtle notes of spice and graphite, with a polished, contemporary Tuscan elegance. On the palate, it is likely to be full-bodied and layered, combining ripe Merlot fruit with supple tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, savoury finish. While already impressive in youth, this is a wine with strong aging potential, and it should develop additional complexity, texture, and nuance over the next 10–15 years or more.

Production
Tenuta di Trinoro is located in the remote Val d’Orcia area of southern Tuscany, where a mix of elevation, limestone-rich soils, and a warm but ventilated climate helps Merlot achieve ripeness without losing freshness. The fruit is typically harvested by hand in small lots, allowing for careful selection and ideal picking dates. Vinification at Trinoro is known for its meticulous approach, with a focus on preserving purity, intensity, and balance. Fermentation and élevage are handled with great precision, often in a mix of barrel and other carefully chosen vessels, to build structure and complexity while maintaining the wine’s signature finesse.

Food & Serving
Serve Trinoro Palazzi 2023 with rich dishes such as roast lamb, grilled beef, braised short ribs, or porcini mushroom risotto. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and Tuscan-style game dishes. Best served at 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended in its youth to allow the wine to open fully.
