Tramin Selida Gewürztraminer is a beautifully expressive white wine from Cantina Tramin in Alto Adige, one of Italy’s most respected homes for aromatic varieties. Crafted from Traminer Aromatico, it combines precision, fragrance, and regional character, showing why Gewürztraminer has long been a signature grape of this Alpine landscape.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a straw-golden colour with bright golden reflections. The nose is intensely aromatic and layered, unfolding with rose petals, lily, spicy white flowers, dried herbs, and exotic fruit notes such as mango and passionfruit. On the palate, it is deep, spicy, and impressively fresh, with a full-bodied texture and a long, lingering finish. The balance of aromatic richness and lively freshness gives it both immediate appeal and enough structure to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from calcareous soils with a mix of clay and gravel, helping to shape a wine that is both fragrant and precise. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, with the fruit placed in small containers to preserve its quality and integrity. Fermentation takes place at 18°C, followed by at least six months of maturation in small stainless steel tanks to retain purity and aromatic lift.

Food & Serving
This wine is a natural match for aromatic cuisine, including Thai and Vietnamese dishes, lightly spiced Asian fare, shellfish, foie gras, and richer poultry dishes. Serve it well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary.
