Description

The Macallan 18 Years Old Double Cask is a mature Speyside single malt, balancing the distillery’s rich, sherried style with the softer influence of American oak. Its layered fruit, gentle sweetness and warming spice make it a rewarding choice for sipping slowly.

Aroma & Palate
The aroma brings dried fruit and rich orange, with notes of ginger, toffee and vanilla. On the palate, citrus and raisins mingle with caramel, oak spice and warming ginger, leading to a lingering finish of oak, spice and fruit.

Distillation & Maturation
Matured for 18 years in a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, the whisky draws its character from the contrast between American oak’s vanilla sweetness and European oak’s deeper spice and dried-fruit notes.

Serving Suggestions
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature, or with a few drops of water to open up its aromas. It also pairs well with dark chocolate, dried fruit or a gently spiced dessert.
