Terlano Terlaner Cuvee Nova Domus Riserva 2024

Cantina Terlano’s Terlaner Cuvée Nova Domus Riserva brings together Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in a polished expression of Alto Adige’s mountain vineyards. Its creamy texture, lively mineral salinity and layered fruit make it a distinctive, cellar-worthy white from one of the region’s historic cooperatives.

Tasting Notes
Pale yellow with a subtle green sheen, it opens with aromatic herbs and spices, including anise, mint and sage, alongside apricot, mandarin, melon and passion fruit. The palate is complex and creamy, with ripe fruit balanced by a pronounced mineral, saline edge and a long, deep finish that carries the blend’s aromatic character.

Production
The grapes come from south- and southwest-facing Alto Adige vineyards: Pinot Blanc grows at around 500–600 metres, while Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are planted at approximately 300–350 metres. They are harvested by hand and gently whole-cluster pressed; the must settles naturally before slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in large oak casks. Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay undergo partial malolactic fermentation, followed by 12 months of ageing on fine lees in wooden casks. The final blend is assembled three months before bottling.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 10–12°C with roast chicken, veal, grilled or poached fish, shellfish, or creamy risotto. Its herbal notes and saline finish also suit dishes with fresh herbs or a touch of citrus. Decanting is not essential, but a short time in a carafe can help the wine open up when young.
