Tasting Notes
Expect a vivid ruby-red wine with a refined, polished appearance in the glass. The nose is typically marked by ripe dark berries, cassis, herbal nuances, tobacco, and a distinct mineral thread that reflects the estate’s ancient marine soils. On the palate, Auritea is pure Cabernet Franc with a balance of ripe fruit, fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a savory, elegant finish. The wine’s structure suggests excellent aging potential, with the ability to gain complexity over several years in bottle while retaining its vibrant coastal character.

Production
Auritea comes from Tenuta Podernovo on the Tuscan coast, where the vineyard soils are shaped by ancient marine origins and the presence of the Arca Aurita fossil shell, lending a marked mineral signature to the wine. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified to preserve the variety’s aromatic precision and natural elegance, resulting in a focused, terroir-driven Cabernet Franc.
