Tenuta Regaleali Vigna San Francesco Cabernet Sauvignon is a distinctive Sicilian red from the historic Regaleali Estate, crafted by the renowned Tasca d’Almerita. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in new French oak, it combines Mediterranean character with classic structure and polish.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour with excellent intensity and subtle garnet highlights. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of wild berries, vanilla, black pepper, tobacco, cinnamon, mint and sage. The palate is rich in ripe, concentrated fruit, yet remains soft, elegant and well balanced. Oak aging adds spice and refinement without overpowering the fruit, giving the wine impressive depth and a refined finish. It has good aging potential and should continue to gain complexity over the next several years.

Production
Produced at the Regaleali Estate in the heart of Sicily, this wine reflects one of the island’s most respected terroirs. The vineyard benefits from Sicily’s warm, sunny climate and the estate’s long-standing focus on quality and site expression. After harvest, the wine is vinified and aged for 18 months in 225-litre French oak barrels from Allier and Tronçais, all of them new, followed by six months of bottle aging before release.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled or roasted red meats, lamb, game, and rich dishes with herbs or peppery sauces. It also pairs well with mature cheeses and hearty Sicilian cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about an hour if possible to allow the aromas and texture to fully open.
