Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color that hints at its maturity and concentration. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with ripe dark fruit, spice, tobacco, and subtle oak-driven complexity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet graceful, with silky tannins, excellent balance, and a long, persistent finish. After more than three decades, it has developed impressive depth and nuance, and while it is at a beautiful stage now, it may still continue to evolve in bottle for careful collectors.

Produced in Tuscany from 100% Sangiovese, this Brunello comes from the Col d’Orcia estate, one of the historic names in Montalcino. The vintage was made in limited quantities and matured in oak barrels, a traditional approach that helped shape its structure while allowing the character of the grape and terroir to shine through.

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted red meats, game, braised dishes, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 18–20°C, and consider decanting for an hour or more if opening now, to allow its aromas and textures to unfold fully.
