Description

Taittinger Champagne Prestige Rosé Brut is a refined, non-vintage rosé that captures the elegance and brightness of Champagne’s finest Pinot-based blends. Crafted primarily from Pinot Noir with support from Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, it delivers both generous fruit and a precise, refreshing finish. This cuvée stands out as a house specialty, reflecting Taittinger’s long tradition of producing graceful, food-friendly rosé Champagnes.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Champagne shows a delicate salmon-pink hue with copper highlights, animated by a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is immediately expressive, offering classic Pinot Noir-driven aromas of ripe raspberries and wild strawberries, intertwined with subtle floral notes—think rose petals and a hint of peony—layered over gentle earthy undertones. On the palate, it is ripe yet poised, with juicy red berry flavors—raspberry, strawberry, and a touch of redcurrant—carried by a lively, well-integrated acidity. The texture is silky and refined, with a graceful balance between fruit, freshness, and structure. The finish is long and persistent, lifted by a clean, mouthwatering acidity that invites another sip. As a non-vintage Champagne, it is crafted for early enjoyment, though it can comfortably develop a little extra complexity over 3–5 years in bottle.

Production
Sourced from carefully selected vineyards across the Champagne region, this rosé benefits from cool, chalk-rich soils that promote finesse, purity of fruit, and natural freshness. The grapes—Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier—are harvested by hand to ensure optimal quality and strict bunch selection. A significant portion of Pinot Noir is vinified as red wine, either by short maceration or blending, to obtain the signature salmon-pink color and red-fruit character. The base wines undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve brightness and aromatics, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle and extended aging on the lees, which brings finesse to the mousse and adds complexity to the final blend.

Food & Serving
Taittinger Prestige Rosé Brut is a versatile partner at the table, pairing beautifully with dishes such as tuna tartare, sushi and sashimi, grilled prawns, or lightly seared salmon. It also complements charcuterie, poultry dishes, and soft, creamy cheeses, and is an excellent match for berry-based desserts that are not overly sweet. Serve well-chilled at about 8–10°C (46–50°F). A brief 10–15 minutes in the glass or a quick, gentle decant into a chilled carafe can help the aromas open fully, but extended decanting is not necessary.

Producer
Taittinger is one of Champagne’s most respected family-owned houses, with roots in Reims dating back to the early 20th century and a history that is closely linked to the region’s rise to global prominence. Known for its strong emphasis on Chardonnay and an elegant, refined style, Taittinger has become a benchmark name for sophisticated, gastronomic Champagne. The estate farms extensive holdings in prime crus across Champagne and has earned international recognition for the consistency and finesse of its cuvées, including its flagship Comtes de Champagne. Prestige Rosé Brut sits as a key expression in the range, showcasing the house’s talent for blending fruit-forward charm with classical Champagne precision.
