Description
Taittinger Brut Prestige is one of Champagne’s most elegant and widely appreciated non-vintage cuvées, known for its refined style, high Chardonnay influence, and consistently fresh character. It captures the house signature beautifully: bright, graceful, and polished, with a history rooted in one of Champagne’s most respected family producers.
Tasting Notes
Pale golden in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, this Champagne opens with delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus, green apple, and subtle brioche. On the palate it is lively and precise, offering a clean balance of freshness and texture, with notes of pear, lemon zest, peach, and a gentle hint of biscuit in the finish.
The blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier gives it both finesse and structure, making it approachable in youth while still showing the depth and harmony that have made it a benchmark style. It is made for immediate enjoyment, though it will hold well for a short period in bottle under proper conditions.
Production
Taittinger Brut Prestige is crafted from a classic Champagne blend drawn from multiple vineyards across the region, with Chardonnay playing a notably important role in the final composition. The grapes are typically harvested by hand, as required in Champagne, and the wine is vinified with care to preserve purity, freshness, and the elegant mousse for which the house is known.
Food & Serving
Ideal as an aperitif, it also pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi, light fish dishes, and soft cheeses. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not recommended for Champagne; simply open and enjoy while the wine is fresh and vibrant.
Producer
Taittinger is one of Champagne’s great family houses, founded in the 20th century and closely associated with a refined, Chardonnay-led style. Based in Reims, the house has earned a strong reputation for elegance, consistency, and quality, becoming a leading name in the region and a favorite among Champagne lovers worldwide.
