Why shop with us?
Suavia’s Monte Carbonare is a refined Soave Classico made exclusively from Garganega, expressing the distinctive character of Fittà in the heart of Veneto’s historic Soave region. Produced by a family that has cultivated these vineyards since 1800, it is an organic wine with a vivid mineral profile and an elegant balance between freshness, texture and complexity.
Tasting Notes
The wine shines a brilliant straw yellow in the glass. Its expressive nose combines broom, wild flowers and citrus with subtle green, vegetal nuances, leading to a distinctive smoky and saline mineral character. On the palate, it is bright, lively and delicately spicy, yet rounded and supple, with refreshing acidity and a persistent, mineral finish. Enjoyable in its youth for its energy and precision, it can also develop greater texture and aromatic depth over the next few years when carefully stored.
Production
Made from 100% Garganega grown organically in Fittà, one of the most respected crus within the Soave Classico zone. The Monte Carbonare vineyards are known for their mineral-rich volcanic terroir, which contributes to the wine’s smoky, saline character. The grapes are carefully harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified to preserve Garganega’s aromatic freshness, mineral expression and natural balance; specific harvesting and cellar details are not provided.
Food & Serving
A versatile partner for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, sushi and fresh-water fish, as well as risotto, vegetable-based dishes, asparagus and creamy poultry preparations. Serve well chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, although allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can reveal more of its floral and mineral complexity.
Producer
Suavia is a family-owned estate in Fittà, in the heart of Soave Classico, with a winemaking and farming history that reaches back to 1800. The estate is closely associated with the expression of Garganega and the volcanic terroir of the area, producing wines that combine regional identity with precision and elegance. Its organic approach and focus on site expression have helped establish Suavia as a respected name in Veneto.
