Sheridan Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a beautifully crafted, pure Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State that offers serious quality at a remarkably generous price. Made by self-taught winemaker Scott Greer from old vines rooted deep in Yakima Valley soils, it combines classic Bordeaux-inspired structure with ripe New World fruit and a strong commitment to sustainability.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, this Cabernet opens with an expressive bouquet of blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry compote, cedar, thyme, and a hint of lavender. The palate is full-bodied and round, with layers of blueberry, cassis, and red currant wrapped around subtle notes of vanilla and cedar, finishing long and impressive. The wine has the balance and concentration to age gracefully, and while it is already highly enjoyable, it should continue to develop complexity over the next several years.

Production
The grapes come from Sheridan Vineyard’s own site in Yakima Valley, Washington, where 20-year-old vines are rooted deeply in the hillside terroir. Scott Greer farms with sustainability in mind throughout the entire production process, and the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 17 months in one-year-old French oak barrels, allowing the fruit to remain at the forefront while gaining gentle spice and texture.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, or aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1 hour if possible to allow the aromatics and structure to fully open up.
